The fault affects Grok Lite on grok.com, not the Grok account on X, and TechCrunch could not reproduce it. xAI calls it a 'rare temporary generation glitch' and suggests starting a fresh chat, which often but not always clears it. Output of this kind usually points to a serving or decoding problem rather than a weaker model, at a company that lost around fifty researchers and most of its founding team this spring.
