Europe starts enforcing its AI transparency rules
🧒 Discovery

The timeline still runs at two speeds: the Article 50 transparency duties apply immediately, but the heavier rules on stand-alone high-risk systems, such as hiring, credit scoring or education, are pushed back to December 2027, seventeen months later than originally planned. High-risk systems embedded in already-regulated products won't face obligations until August 2028.
